    Regular outlet charging

Yes, you can charge a Tesla with a regular outlet. There’s a free adapter that comes with the car.

However, charging with a standard outlet is very slow. Charging speeds vary between 2 and 4 miles per hour (4 to 7 kilometers per hour).

    Wall Connector charging

Want faster charging at home? Then you should buy a Tesla Wall Connector. This will increase charging speeds up to 30 mph for the Model X, 34 mph for the Model S and 44 mph for the Mode 3 (depending on several variables).

Visit the Wall Connector page for more information.
